Cheryl Ong

CEO, OSK Foundation

Ms Cheryl Ong is the CEO of OSK Foundation. The Malaysian-based Foundation in focused on philanthropic activities within the areas of Education, Community Development and Environment. 

One of the Foundation’s current program within the women’s empowerment space is the Small Business Training and Financial Management Workshops for underserved women nationwide. This program is intended to serve as a launching ground for these women to start their own small businesses and learn to not only be more independent and self-sufficient, but also be able to support their families and communities. 

Cheryl’s previous work experiences included KPMG Corporate Finance in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns in Malaysia as well as OCBC Bank Singapore within the Group Investment Division (Strategies and Mergers & Acquisitions). She holds a Masters Degree in Commerce, Finance, from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, and Bachelor of Commerce, International Business, from Curtin University, Perth, Australia. 

OSK Foundation is currently supporting and working with, amongst others, the Malaysian Collective Impact Initiative (MCII), Teach for Malaysia, Closing the Gap, Chumbaka, SUKA Society, Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia, Women’s Institute of Management as well as awarding educational scholarships and implementing a Nationwide School Enhancement Programme across public schools within Malaysia.
