Svida Alisjahbana

Svida is leading GCM Group, the group risen as a result of split off in Femina Group, the leading and foremost women media group in the nation. A veteran in the media industry. With the team, she started two important events for the nation: Femina’s Women Entrepreneurship Program and Jakarta Fashion Week, where she has been honored as one of the BoF 500 (Business of Fashion), The Top 500 People Shaping The Global Fashion Industry, in her role as a fashion catalyst.

GCM Group is a lifestyle media company, with the leading lifestyle magazine Dewi, the largest fashion event in the nation: Jakarta Fashion Week, a women portal working with the largest women organizations in the nation: Wanita.Network, and beauty and cooking lifestyle medias. She is also serving on the board of her family companies, one of them is Palm Oil Plantation, Bio Nusantara.

Svida started Endeavor Indonesia with some of her YPO (Young President Organization) friends and still serving on the Endeavor board. Currently, she is the Chair of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Gold Indonesia. She served as the Deputy Chair for the Australia-Indonesia Centre (AIC). She served the FIPP board (the Federation of Publishers) in London until 2016.

She was a Fellow at the Women’s Leadership Program 2010, Eisenhower Fellowship and recently she was awarded MIT-IDEAS fellowship.

Svida obtained her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1988 and continued her MBA degree at Columbia University, New York, in 1997.

Mother of twin boys who are now in their 3rd year in college, Svida is chasing her dream to finish the 6 Major Marathon before her 60.
